WAR IS NOT THE ANSWER!

The members of the Alternatives to War Committee (AWC), located in the central Minnesota city of St. Cloud, care deeply about our country and the democratic process. While many citizens of our great nation stand silent, others attempt to silence dissent by calling people who stand forace unpatriotic and not deserving of the rights upon which the United States was founded. The St. Cloud AWC appreciates that dissent is at the heart of a healthy democracy. As a group we will continue to challenge those who desire to limit our participation in the body politic. 

The Alternatives to War Committee encourages constructive discourse by challenging commonly held ideas about war and peace. We have sponsored full-page newspaper ads and placed billboards in our community. We have organized protests and art shows. We invite our fellow citizens to speak their minds and hearts, thereby becoming full citizens and patriots.
